Functional Dry Needling
Functional dry needling (also known as Intramuscular Stimulation, or IMS) is a targeted treatment used to release tight muscles, reduce pain, and restore movement.
This technique involves inserting a thin, sterile needle into muscles that may be causing pain or dysfunction. The needle is then gently stimulated—either manually or with electrical current—to encourage muscle relaxation, improve circulation, and reset dysfunctional nerve pathways.
Dry needling can help with muscle tension, tissue sensitivity, numbness, tingling, and restricted movement, making it an effective tool for pain relief and faster recovery.
It is called "dry" needling because it does not involve any injections—the needle itself is the treatment.

Cupping Therapy
Cupping therapy uses vacuum or suction cups to gently lift the skin and underlying tissues, promoting circulation, muscle relaxation, and pain relief. The cups may be glided along the skin or left in place, depending on your treatment needs.
This technique can help reduce muscle tension, improve mobility, and support recovery by increasing blood flow and releasing tight tissues.
Cupping can sometimes leave temporary bruise-like marks, which typically fade within a few days. If you prefer to avoid visible marks, jsut let your physiotherapist know!

Manual Therapy
Manual therapy includes hands-on techniques such as soft tissue release and joint mobilizations to help reduce pain, relieve muscle tension, and improve mobility.
These techniques can also desensitize sensitive tissues, making movement feel more natural and comfortable.
Whether you need relief from stiffness, improved range of motion, or help recovering from an injury, manual therapy can be an essential part of your treatment.

Taping
Taping is a versatile technique used to reduce pain, provide stability, and support movement. Different taping methods can help offload stressed tissues, encourage proper mechanics, and enhance confidence in returning to sport or daily activities.
Whether for injury recovery, swelling control, or extra support, taping can be a great tool to keep you moving with ease.
