About Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor physiotherapy focuses on the muscles, nerves, and connective tissues of the pelvic region. These muscles support your bladder, bowel, and pelvic organs, and play a key role in core stability, continence, and comfortable movement.
At Rehab on Tap, we take a whole-body approach — assessing your pelvic floor in connection with your abdominal core and rest of your body. From there, we provide personalized treatment, exercises, and practical guidance to help you restore function, reduce discomfort, and regain confidence in daily activities, exercise, and movement.
This is modern physiotherapy: evidence-driven, tailored to your needs, and focused on getting you moving and feeling your best.
It's Not Just About Kegels
Pelvic floor problems aren't always caused by weakness.
Sometimes muscles are too tight, overworking, or poorly coordinated. Treatment may involve strengthening, relaxation, breathing, posture, movement strategies, or manual therapy — depending on what your body needs.
It's Not Just About Peeing Yourself
Urinary leakage is not the only sign of pelvic floor dysfunction! Pelvic floor physiotherapy can also help to:
-
Reduce pregnancy and postpartum discomfort
-
Improve bladder and bowel control
-
Reduce pelvic plain, tension, or discomfort
-
Improve core strength and stability
-
Support pelvic organ function
-
Reduce pain with intimacy
-
Improve confidence with movement and activity

"I can’t recommend Christine highly enough! During my pregnancy, she worked wonders for my pelvic floor health and helped me address pubic symphysis pain before it worsened… …She created a safe and comfortable environment where I felt truly cared for. My group of mom friends have all seen her as well!..."

“Christine is an excellent physio! She has treated injuries for both my husband and myself, and we always see improvement. She also took care of my PT during both my pregnancies and got me back into the gym feeling confident and ready. She is so kind and thoughtful. Thanks Christine!”

“Christine supported me through 2 pregnancies and c-section recoveries. Highly recommended for both pelvic floor and general physiotherapy. She's great at explaining what is going on and I felt comfortable even when working on my pelvic floor. Worth driving across the city for!”
